La Diperie Monkland | Ice Cream, Dipped Cones & Desserts

If you're looking for the best ice cream shop in Monkland Village, La Diperie is definitely one to put on your list. Located at 5582 Avenue Monkland, this neighbourhood favourite first opened in the spring of 2016 and has been a staple in the community ever since. With friendly staff and reasonable prices, La Diperie makes enjoying a sweet treat a fun and delicious experience for locals and visitors alike.

La Diperie fits perfectly into the lively atmosphere of Monkland Avenue. The shop is colourful, casual, and fun. Along with its soft-serve ice cream and delicious dips, you can choose from a generous selection of toppings to create a dessert that suits your taste. Whether you prefer something simple or want to build an over-the-top creation, there are plenty of combinations to try.

One of the best things about La Diperie is being able to make your ice cream exactly how you want it. You start by choosing the size of your cone or cup, which determines the base price of your ice cream. From there, you can add your favourite dip and extra toppings for an extra cost. This makes it easy to keep things simple or add a few extras if you're looking to make your dessert a little more indulgent.

If you're in the area and have a craving for something sweet, stop by La Diperie Monkland and create your own ice cream combination. It's a fun little treat that's perfect for a summer day, whether you're with friends, family, or just treating yourself.

Ice Cream, Cones & Sweet Treats

There’s more than one way to enjoy a sweet treat at La Diperie Monkland. The menu includes soft-serve ice cream, hard ice cream, Dazzles, sundaes, milkshakes, and ice cream sandwiches, so there are plenty of options depending on what you're craving.

The soft-serve ice cream starts at $4.50 before taxes, making it an affordable option when you're looking for a quick dessert. You can enjoy it in a cone or cup and customize it with your choice of dips and toppings.

If you're looking for something a little different, their mini donuts are another fun option. Starting at $10, they come in boxes of 12, 30, or 50 pieces. You can choose from Original, Powdered Sugar, or Cinnamon, and if you want to make them even more indulgent, you can add an extra dip for $1.50 or an additional topping for $1.25.

Cheesecake Factory Cakes

If you're craving cake rather than ice cream, La Diperie Monkland also provides The Cheesecake Factory Bakery™ cakes, which can be purchased by the slice or as a whole cake. Slices start at $9.50 before taxes, making this another option when you're looking for a more indulgent dessert.

And, of course, you can put a La Diperie twist on your slice. You can choose to have your cake dipped in one of their famous dips for an additional $1.50, with an extra topping available for $1.25. It's a fun way to customize your slice and make your dessert even more indulgent.

Not a fan of cheesecake? No problem. La Diperie also has chocolate lava cakes and cookies for those who prefer something a little different. Whether you're craving something rich and chocolatey or simply want a classic cookie, there are plenty of sweet options to choose from.

La Diperie Monkland Village

If you’re looking for a fun place to satisfy your sweet tooth, La Diperie Monkland is definitely worth a visit. With a great selection of ice cream, cakes, mini donuts, cookies, and other desserts, there’s something for just about everyone. The reasonable prices also make it an easy stop when you’re looking for a little treat without spending too much, and the selection of dips and toppings gives you plenty of ways to customize your dessert.

During the summer and early fall, the outdoor seating is a great way to enjoy your ice cream while taking in the atmosphere of Monkland Avenue. I especially recommend stopping by after having a meal at one of the many restaurants in Monkland Village. Some of my recommendations include Onigiri Shop, Poulet Rouge, Bonjour Pho, and La Belle Province. Grab dinner, take a walk along the avenue, and finish your visit with a dipped ice cream or another sweet treat from La Diperie.

Why Monkland Village Is Worth Exploring

One of the best things about Monkland Village is that it doesn't feel like a destination built solely for tourists. It feels like a real neighbourhood, with restaurants and businesses that serve the people who live nearby while also welcoming visitors.

That community atmosphere is a big part of the appeal. The avenue brings together different cuisines, local cafés, family-friendly spots, and small businesses, creating a lively but approachable place to spend time. Current restaurant listings show just how varied the dining scene has become, with dozens of options throughout Monkland Village.

And that makes La Diperie a natural part of the Monkland experience. Come for dinner, stay for a walk, and save room for dessert.

Whether you're a longtime NDG resident or simply discovering Monkland Avenue for the first time, La Diperie Monkland is an easy place to add to the itinerary. Its delicious ice cream, colourful selection of dips and toppings, and relaxed atmosphere make it a sweet complement to everything else happening along one of Montréal's most enjoyable neighbourhood streets.
