If you’re craving fresh hand-pulled noodles, flavourful fried rice, and delicious pan-fried dumplings, there’s a cosy little spot in the heart of Chinatown, Montreal, that you’ll want to discover—Restaurant Noodle Factory.
Located just steps from Place-d’Armes Metro at 1018 Rue Saint-Urbain, Noodle Factory is a small and welcoming restaurant that can accommodate up to 28 guests. While the restaurant may be cozy in size, the portions are perfect for sharing, making it a great spot for groups of four or anyone who loves enjoying several dishes around the table.
One of the things I love about Noodle Factory is that the prices are very affordable, and the dishes are made fresh whether you’re dining in or taking your food to go. From their hand-pulled noodles to their dumplings and fried rice, there’s plenty to choose from.
I stopped by Restaurant Noodle Factory during lunch, and I’m excited to share my honest experience with you. Keep reading to see my thoughts regarding the food, service, location, portions, and pricing.
The Restaurant Noodle Factory menu is simple, straightforward, and easy to navigate. One thing I really appreciated was that the menu descriptions were available in English, French, and Mandarin, which makes ordering much easier for the many locals and visitors who explore Montreal’s Chinatown every day.
Many of the dishes and appetizers also come with photos, which I always find helpful when trying a restaurant for the first time. The appetizers were especially appealing because they were very affordable, with several options priced under $10 CAD.
I visited Noodle Factory on a rainy day and decided it was the perfect time to warm up with a bowl of their hand-pulled noodles with broccoli and minced pork. I couldn’t help but compare them to the noodles I previously tried at Nouilles De Lan Zhou, although the two restaurants offer a noticeably different experience in both taste and presentation.
My meal cost under $20 CAD, and I was pleased with the freshness of the ingredients. I enjoyed the noodles, which provided a satisfying experience; however, I must admit that I have had slightly better hand-pulled noodles in Montreal.

Restaurant Noodle Factory has been a beloved spot in Montreal’s Chinatown for many years and is known for its fresh hand-pulled noodles, delicious dumplings, generous portions, friendly service, and affordable prices. During my visit, I enjoyed trying their hand-pulled noodles and getting a taste of what has made this cozy little restaurant such a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.
Please note: Restaurant Noodle Factory is currently listed as temporarily closed on Google and other current restaurant listings. I’m hoping this Chinatown favourite will reopen, but at this time, I could not find a confirmed reopening date.
If you’re hoping to visit, I recommend checking Google Maps for the latest updates before making the trip, as its status may change. I’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for news of a reopening because Noodle Factory has been a special part of Montreal’s Chinatown dining scene for many years.
