Blufish Sushi Bistro Park Ridge IL Menu
Let me start off by saying that dinner was amazing; each table is served complimentary salad and miso. The salad was delicious; the dressing was smoky with a tinge of sweet. The miso soup was rich and lacked nothing. The small cubes of tofu and seaweed were a perfect bite size. Bluefish has two menus, one for the wines and the other for dinner. I started off my experience with ordering the "Heaven Hill Rose." Price: $10 per glass.

I enjoyed the wine; it was not the best rosé that I've had, as I prefer a sweeter undertone. This one was a little rigid at first but was smooth afterwards. This wine paired well with my appetizers and dinner choices.
Appetizers
For the appetizers, we ordered the fried sweet potato roll, seared tuna, and vegetable gyoza. The gyoza were incredibly juicy and packed with fresh vegetables. The seared tuna was equally impressive, with a perfect balance of seasoning that enhanced its natural taste without overpowering it. It was lightly seared and drizzled with avocado and garlic olive oil.
The fried sweet potato roll at Blufish was a solid 10/10. The taste is classic, and the fried sweet potato was soft and delicious. I can't get enough of this roll and will order it again.

Dinner and Dessert
For dinner I ordered the Bi Bim Bop at $16 before taxes. I wanted extra protein, so I added tofu for $3. The base is rice, and it is topped with mushrooms, zucchini, spinach, sprouts, onions, and carrots. It also came with a side of shredded seaweed and doenjang and gochujang sauce.
My main concern with the bibimbap was the lack of flavour in most of the ingredients. The mushrooms and tofu were the only items that had been marinated; everything else tasted rather plain. While I did enjoy the dish overall, I wish there had been an option to enhance the flavours further.
My boyfriend ordered an assortment of sashimi and thoroughly enjoyed it. Each piece was fresh and incredibly tasty. The presentation of this dish was also exceptional, earning a perfect score of 10/10 for flavour, taste, and visual appeal.

Dessert Time
For dessert, I tried the exotic bomba, which featured layers of white chocolate, dark chocolate, sweet and tangy passion fruit, and raspberry. Each layer was unique and a treat to dive into.
The passion fruit really stood out in this dessert. It was sweet, tangy, and really hit my palate right. The sorbet was super soft and creamy. This dessert gets a solid 8/10 for its unique taste and overall presentation.
My least favourite part of this dish was the chewy chocolate raisins that were served on the side. I think a raspberry puree would have been a better option. Am I a chef? Not at all, but I love a good dessert, and this is definitely in my top 10.

Bluefish Sushi Bistro is around $150 for two people. The food was delicious, and the service was top-tier. The staff really took the time to assist with the menu, and the service was prompt.
Will I ever visit Bluefish again? 100%. I really liked the location, food, and assortment of wine. The price was also very reasonable and not overpriced. Now that summer is here, it is the perfect time to explore the patio and enjoy great company. Blufish has two other locations in Glenview and Vernon Hills, with a third coming in Schaumburg, IL. The menu and location can be found on their official website.
