Boston Fish Market Illinois Locations And Menu
If you're looking for delicious seafood at an affordable price, then you have to visit Boston Fish Market. They have two locations in Illinois, in the towns of Wheeling and Des Plaines.
Their menu features delicious seafood, crabcakes, a selection of premium wine, and delicious desserts. I have placed several orders from them before, but this was my first time visiting their restaurant. The patio is grand and spacious; seating is available inside as well as outdoors during the summertime.
One thing that I really loved was the straightforward menu. I've been to restaurants where there were over 200 items, which can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate. Here, the menu was concise, highlighting the best offerings without unnecessary clutter, making it easy to choose a dish that truly appealed to my taste.

“This full-service fish market sources a broad array of fresh and frozen seafood from all over the world.”
The atmosphere at Boston Fish Market was family-oriented. It was not an upscale restaurant; rather, it felt more like a place where families and friends could enjoy an affordable meal together. The patio has the capacity to comfortably seat over 100 people. Small and large groups are welcome, as space was not an issue.

I like to try a new wine from every restaurant that I visit; this time I tried a sparkling wine that was sweet and delicious. I tried the Prosecco La Marca—Italy, which was around $8 per "mini" bottle. I like to try a new wine from every restaurant that I visit; this time I tried a sparkling wine that was sweet and delicious. I tried the Prosecco La Marca—Italy, which was around $8 per "mini" bottle. Honestly, this is one of the best sparkling wines that I've had in a long time. It was sweet and tasty.
The appetizer we chose was the crab cakes for $38. I was a little shocked by the price, but we tried them and gave it a solid 7/10. The cakes were flavorful, packed with crab meat and seasoning, and garnished with lemon and sauce.

For dinner we ordered the fried jumbo shrimp and the organic New Zealand salmon. Let's start with the salmon! The taste was great and not fishy at all. I loved the butter sauce, as it complemented the salmon well. This dish came with a side of roasted veggies and rice.
Boston Fish Market has never disappointed; I love their veggies and rice. The second dish ordered was the jumbo fried shrimp. Listen! You cannot go wrong with this dish either. The shrimp were tasty and fried to perfection. The fries were homemade and delicious. We both enjoyed our dinner and will definitely visit again.
I will also highlight that the portions here are huge and enough to feed two people. We ended up taking home leftovers that tasted fresh the next day.

Boston Fish Market is a good restaurant. I loved the menu and location. The staff was friendly, but not the best service that I've had. The food was prepared well, and our preferences were considered. The prices were my only issue; paying $38 for crabcakes was a little steep.
While the quality of food was top-notch, the prices should have been more in the range of $15 to $30. The patio was spacious, accommodating many guests outside. However, the interior was less appealing and appeared outdated. I give the restaurant and decor a solid 6/10, while the food rolls in at 8/10.
