CA LEM Crèmerie Creamery: A Cozy Dessert Destination in NDG

I have passed by CA LEM Crèmerie Creamery in NDG dozens of times, and I finally decided to stop in and try their popular and delicious ice cream. With several locations throughout Montréal, CA, LEM Creamery has become a favorite destination for those looking to enjoy unique ice cream creations and sweet treats.

During this visit, I stopped by their location at 6926 Sherbrooke St. W., conveniently located just steps away from Concordia University. This neighborhood gem offers a welcoming atmosphere and a variety of desserts that make it worth the visit.

CA LEM Creamery is a family and women-owned business that has been operating since the summer of 2016. The shop offers a diverse selection of ice creams, sorbets, and waffles, complete with delicious toppings to customize your treat.

One of the things I love about a dessert shop is when it offers comfortable seating, and CA LEM Crèmerie Creamery does just that. The shop features a “summer patio” for outdoor seating, as well as indoor seating for guests who want to relax and enjoy their dessert.

The interior is cozy, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, creating a chic yet welcoming atmosphere. Although the space is not large, it is perfect for small groups of one or two people looking to enjoy a sweet treat while taking a break from exploring NDG.

Now, Let’s Talk About the Ice Cream!

Now, let’s discuss the most exciting part: the ice cream! With so many flavours to choose from, it was not easy to decide, but I ultimately chose the taro flavour — one of my personal favourites when it comes to desserts.

A single scoop served on a sugar cone cost around $5.50, taxes included, which I found to be a fair price for the quality and portion. Since taro desserts have always been some of my favourites, I was excited to try this flavour, and honestly, it did not disappoint. I would easily rate it a 10/10.

What really stood out was the authentic taro flavour. It was rich and full-bodied, with a subtle hint of sweetness that created the perfect balance. The flavour was not overpowering, allowing the natural taste of the taro to shine through while still providing a deliciously creamy dessert experience.

The ice cream menu at CA LEM Crèmerie Creamery offers many other flavours to discover, including triple chocolate, Vietnamese coffee, maple candied pecans, black sesame, matcha, and berry swirls, among others.

CA LEM is also known for its soft swirl ice cream and swirl sorbets, which are available in a variety of flavours. I honestly cannot wait to return and explore more of their menu. The authentic taste of the ice cream, welcoming service, and cosy atmosphere left me with a great impression of the shop.
