This new restaurant is within walking distance of Metro Snowdon and is situated at 5265 Queen Mary Rd. in Montreal, conveniently close to Decarie Square. Gout D'Afrique has the same owner as Le Uptown, which is a Congolese restaurant located in the heart of Old Port Montreal.

The first thing to mention is the decor and menu. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The colours are vibrant, and the space caters to small and large groups.

The vibrant atmosphere and welcoming staff encourage diners to immerse themselves in the culinary journey that showcases the diversity of African dishes. Each meal is not just about the food; it is about sharing stories, forging connections, and celebrating the rich heritage that inspires each recipe.

In addition to its delectable all-you-can-eat offerings, Gout D'Afrique often hosts events that highlight African music, art, and dance, further enhancing its role as a community hub. Patrons can enjoy live performances while savouring dishes that reflect the warmth and hospitality of the Congolese culture. Whether you're a seasoned aficionado of African cuisine or a newcomer eager to explore, Gout D'Afrique promises not just a meal but a memorable experience that nourishes both body and soul.

The drink that I ordered was one of the best that I've had in a long time. It was a cool mix of pineapple and passion fruit, not too sweet or sour. They have a variety of nonalcoholic drinks that are on their drink menu.

Discover the all-you-can-eat menu at Goût D'Afrique.

Goût D'Afrique offers 3 different menus on their website. The most popular is the weekend special for $55 before taxes. This all-you-can-eat option offers various meats and sides. Some of the meats they serve are mutton, original chicken, shrimp, and tilapia. The side dishes are rice, fries, fufu, cassava sticks, and plantain.

I am not a fan of red meat, but I will honestly say that I really enjoyed the mutton. The spices were perfect, and the meat tasted clean. I am also a huge fan of their original chicken and mayonnaise chicken. Paired with the fufu, these meats were really delicious.

Goût D'Afrique Restaurant Entertainment

What made my night was the entertainment; just like at Le Uptown, there was a drumming portion during dinner. We had a blast, and it was a lot of fun. The drummer made sure that we all played along, and it lasted for around 30 minutes.

If you're looking to spend a fun night out with friends, I highly recommend this restaurant. The pricing is very affordable, and the all-you-can-eat option is a steal for $55. The staff was super friendly, and my plate was never empty. Take a few friends and enjoy a night of entertainment.
