The dessert that truly surprised me at Pâtisserie Coco was their egg tart. Before visiting, I was never a big fan of egg tarts, but after trying theirs, I completely changed my opinion. Pâtisserie Coco offers two different varieties, and my personal favourite was the one that closely resembles a Portuguese pastel de nata. While the flavour is not exactly the same as the traditional Portuguese version, it has a delicious balance of sweetness, creaminess, and texture that makes it very enjoyable.
What makes these egg tarts even better is their affordability, making it easy to pick up a few without spending much. To help maintain their freshness, the egg tarts are kept warm in a heated display oven, which enhances their aroma, flavour, and soft, delicate texture. It is a simple dessert, but one that left a lasting impression and became one of my favourite treats from Pâtisserie Coco.
