Everything on the brunch menu at Antipode looked amazing. We were a large group and started off with ordering drinks. I ended up choosing the pistachio latte, which was a solid 10/10. The flavour of the pistachio latte was instant; it was rich, creamy, and incredibly indulgent. Antipode certainly didn't skimp on the ingredients, and you can really taste the pistachio in every sip.
Pistachio Latte Ingredients: Milk, coffee, pistachio syrup, pistachio cream, and crushed pistachios.
The main dishes were all top-notch. Each plate was presented beautifully and did not disappoint. Every item that I tried was delicious; a few that stood out to me were shakshuka, yuzu French toast, and eggplant croquettes.
Another notable mention was the vegan shakshuka; it was baked to perfection, and all the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The addition of fresh mint elevated the dish and added a refreshing touch that left me wanting more.
Yuzu French Toast
The Yuzu French Toast was an absolute masterpiece, and the presentation was truly one of a kind. This dessert was beautifully prepared and immediately stood out among all the dishes on the table.
The pairing of caramelized French toast with poached pear and vanilla ice cream was a perfect 10/10. The caramelized walnuts added a wonderful crunch, while the yuzu gel brought a bright, refreshing flavour that balanced the sweetness beautifully.
This was easily one of the best French toasts that I've had in a long time. I highly recommend trying the Yuzu French Toast when you visit Antipode. It's not only a work of art but also a dessert your taste buds will absolutely love!
