You won't find many brunch restaurants like Bar George in Montreal. Located inside the historic Le Mount Stephen in downtown Montreal, Bar George combines an elegant setting with a delicious brunch menu inspired by British cuisine. The beautiful historic architecture and upscale décor make the restaurant feel special from the moment you walk through the door.
The brunch at Bar George is one of the best I've ever had. The menu offers a great selection of sweet and savoury dishes, including the George's Full English, black pudding Benedict, smoked salmon, avocado and halloumi toast, pain perdu, and waffles. There are also more indulgent options, such as lobster omelette and black truffle scrambled eggs.
I also love the overall ambiance. It's elegant without feeling overly formal, making it a great choice for a special brunch, date, or leisurely weekend meal. Prices range from approximately $20 to $35 per person for many of the brunch options, although some of the more premium dishes cost more.

One of the things I really like about Universel is the large heated outdoor terrace, which makes it a fun place to enjoy brunch even during the colder months. The Peel location also has a spacious dining room, so there is plenty of room to sit comfortably whether you're dining with friends, family, or a larger group.

Antipode Brunch & Tapas really does scream “best place to have brunch.” This restaurant completely impressed me during my visit, from the beautifully presented dishes to the creative drinks and friendly service. The food was a 10/10, and I especially loved how the menu puts a unique twist on familiar brunch favourites. Antipode is also known for its specialty lattes and creative brunch dishes, including shakshuka, eggs Benedict, pancakes, and its popular yuzu French toast.
One of my favourite parts of the experience was the drinks. I highly recommend the pistachio latte, which was rich, creamy, and packed with pistachio flavour. The yuzu French toast is another must-try. It's beautifully presented and combines caramelized French toast with poached pear, vanilla cream, vanilla ice cream, and a bright yuzu finish.
Price per person: $20–$30 (my article currently lists this range, although current listings indicate some meals can run closer to $30–$40 depending on what you order).
