Jardin Nelson offers a wonderful combination of great food, refreshing cocktails, and a lively atmosphere. One of the highlights of my visits has been their salmon lasagna, which is easily one of the best salmon lasagnas I have ever tried. With its unique flavours and quality ingredients, it is a dish that continues to stand out and is definitely worth discovering.

Experience the Magical Back Patio at Jardin Nelson
During your visit to Jardin Nelson, one of the things you absolutely must experience is their beautiful back patio, where guests can enjoy amazing live jazz music in a truly unforgettable setting. The combination of great food, live entertainment, and a lively atmosphere makes this one of the most charming dining experiences in Old Montréal.
Jardin Nelson is the perfect place for a romantic date night or a special evening with friends. With its delicious cuisine, refreshing cocktails, and unique ambience, the restaurant creates an atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and enjoy every moment. It is a place that captures the charm and beauty of Montréal’s historic Old Port.
The entrance leading to the back patio is beautiful and almost feels like stepping into a hidden botanical garden. Surrounded by flowers, greenery, and charming décor, this space provides a peaceful escape while still offering the energy of live music and a vibrant crowd.
During the summer months, Jardin Nelson becomes one of the most popular restaurants in Old Montréal, and the patios can fill up quickly. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance, especially if you want to enjoy a table on the back patio and experience the magical atmosphere for yourself.
Exploring the Menu at Jardin Nelson
The menu at Jardin Nelson is truly unique, offering a wonderful selection of dishes ranging from delicious pizzas and fresh seafood to flavourful appetizers, creative cocktails, and tempting desserts. Having visited this restaurant several times, I always enjoy trying something new from the menu, and I am consistently impressed by the quality and variety of the dishes.
I have also brought several friends to Jardin Nelson, and they quickly fell in love with everything the restaurant has to offer — from the beautiful patio space and lively atmosphere to the delicious food and live jazz performances. It is the type of restaurant that creates memorable experiences and makes you want to return.
One dish that I highly recommend is the Fresh Salmon Lasagna Au Gratin. This dish immediately stands out with its incredible aroma and beautiful presentation. Baked to perfection, it combines fresh Atlantic salmon, creamy béchamel sauce, spinach, cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese to create a rich and satisfying flavour.
I have ordered this dish several times, and it continues to impress me every visit. The combination of fresh ingredients, creamy sauce, and perfectly baked layers makes it one of my favourite dishes at Jardin Nelson. I would give it a solid 10/10.
To accompany my meal, I chose the Pet Nat Rosé, which was a delightful pairing with the salmon lasagna. As someone who enjoys rosé wine, I found this selection refreshing, flavourful, and perfectly suited to the dish. I would highly recommend trying it during your visit.

I highly recommend Jardin Nelson to anyone looking for amazing food, a beautiful patio, and a memorable dining experience in Montréal. Over the years, I have enjoyed many visits to this restaurant and have always left satisfied. I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal here.
