Le Taj Indian Restaurant, Time Out Market, Montreal
Allow me to introduce you to one of the finest Indian restaurants in Montreal, Le Taj. This establishment has two locations: one at 705 Sainte-Catherine St. W, Montreal, located within the Time Out Market Montreal, and the other at 2077 Stanley St., Montreal, Quebec.
I visited the location in the Time Out Market and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. While the menu differs from the main restaurant's, it still features many popular dishes and local favourites. Le Taj is known for their creamy butter chicken and tandoor-roasted kebab. If you're unsure of what to order, the best thing to do would be their lunch buffet for a low cost of $30 per person, which is available Tuesday to Sunday from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the main restaurant on Stanley Avenie.
Le Taj in the Time Out Market is surrounded by various restaurants that showcase diverse culinary traditions, making it an ideal spot for food enthusiasts. Visit Le Taj Indian Cantine, located in the Time Out Market Montreal. The menu serves delicious dishes such as butter chicken, tandoor-roasted kebabs, and Delhi-style biryani.
When visiting the Time Out Market, the first thing you will notice is the spacious atmosphere. There is plenty of seating available, which is a significant convenience. Ordering from Le Taj was straightforward; the menu is clearly displayed, and the prices for each item are listed. The menu features delicious dishes such as butter chicken, tandoor-roasted kebabs, and Delhi-style biryani. I ordered the butter chicken and naan, which cost less than $30, including tax. The dish came with a side of rice and vegetables. First off, I must say that the butter chicken was quite good; the sauce in which the chicken was cooked had a wonderful flavour.
The highlight of the meal was definitely the butter naan. It was fresh and exceptionally soft—perhaps one of the best naans I have ever tasted. The rice complemented the butter chicken perfectly; it was fragrant and cooked to perfection. It was a satisfying dining experience that left me eager to return and try more of the items on their menu. As mentioned, there is an alternate location at the address 2077 Stanley St., Montreal, Quebec, that has a larger menu with more dishes on the menu.
