Bevo Bar + Pizzeria, Old Port Montreal

If you're looking for an authentic Italian restaurant, you need to check out Bevo Bar + Pizzeria. Located in the heart of Old Port Montreal at 410 R. Saint-Vincent, which is just a 10-minute walk from the Place d’Armes and Champ-de-Mars metro stations. This iconic restaurant is known for having some of the best wood-fired pizza, pasta, cocktails, and desserts in the Old Port area.

Bevo’s pizzas are cooked in an authentic wood-burning oven, and all ingredients are fresh. The inviting atmosphere is perfect for a casual dinner or a special celebration. Don't forget to try their signature house tiramisu, which is the ideal way to end your meal on a sweet note. This restaurant ticks all the boxes when looking for the perfect lunch or dinner spot in Old Port Montreal. They also have a small patio that seats small- to mid-size groups. In addition to their delectable dishes, the attentive staff ensures that every guest feels welcomed and valued. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this charming eatery is a must-visit destination for food lovers. Bookmark this page to explore my experience at Bevo Bar + Pizzeria.

  • Fusilli with rose sauce, crispy prosciutto and mushrooms

I dined at Bevo and can honestly say that there were numerous options available. The menu has a selection of pizzas, pastas, antipastos, and desserts. I ultimately chose the Rosata con Ricotta e Funghi, which features fusilli with rose sauce, crispy prosciutto, and mushrooms. Currently, this dish is priced at $30 per plate. While this amount is somewhat expensive, the Old Port area tends to be pricey overall, and this price is competitive with other restaurants nearby.

The food arrived promptly, and the portion of pasta was generous, accompanied by an enticing aroma. I would rate this dish a solid 7/10; the sauce was thick and flavorful, and the prosciutto was delicious. However, the amount of prosciutto in the pasta was somewhat overwhelming.

I am big on dessert, and to end my experience at Bevo Bar + Pizzeria I ordered their key lime pie off the dessert menu. The presentation was 10/10. The pie was sweet and zesty with a beautiful crust.

The portion was perfect for one person, and the taste was absolutely divine. Each bite was a delightful balance of tartness and creaminess. The only issue I had was that the cocoa powder that was sprinkled on top made the pie. It was a little too overpowering for the pie, and in my opinion, it was not a great addition. The current menu features their house tiramisu, triple chocolate BeVO, cheesecake, and Nutella pizza.
