There are plenty of restaurants in Montreal serving classic pork soup dumplings, but Fuchun Canada definitely stands out. I recently visited this family-owned restaurant to see what they had to offer, and I was not disappointed!
From the moment I started exploring the menu, I was excited to discover their selection of fresh soup dumplings, wonton soups, hand-crafted noodles, desserts, and side dishes. There was so much to choose from, and I couldn’t wait to start trying everything! The Menu & Prices at Fuchun Canada
The menu at Fuchun Canada features a delicious selection of dumplings, wontons, noodles, appetizers, side dishes, and desserts. I also liked that each menu item includes a clear description and price, making it easy to see exactly what you’re ordering and how much it costs.
The menu is very reasonably priced, with dishes starting at $7.99 and going up to $25.99. The dessert menu is short and sweet, with options including their Red Bean Soup for $4.99 and Eight Treasure Rice Pudding for $5.99. 🍮
And here’s something I really like about Fuchun Canada—if you’re working with a $20 budget, you can still enjoy a satisfying meal here! With several affordable dishes on the menu, it’s a great option for anyone looking for delicious soup dumplings and Chinese comfort food without breaking the bank.
Soup Dumplings & Fried Dumplings 🥟
If you’re visiting Fuchun, Canada, for the first time, the soup dumplings are definitely where I would start. There are several varieties to choose from, including classic pork, pork and shrimp, mushrooms, and even pork and crab. They also offer fried dumplings for those who prefer a crispy bite!

Amongst my group the soupe dumplings were a huge hit; we tried the juicy pork, pork and shrimp, mushrooms, beef, and sweet corn. The dumplings were steamed to perfection and were nice and hot. The filling was not soggy or tough, just right.
My personal favourite was the sweet corn and juicy pork. They were steaming hot, and the soup was delicious—a solid 10/10 in my books. The next item we tried was the scallion oil noodle paired with a fried pork cutlet. This dish was absolutely delicious. The noodles were savoury, and the scallion oil added a nice touch and was not overpowering. The pork cutlet was fried to perfection, and the taste was great. This dish was also paired with a soy sauce that enhanced the flavour.
My least favourite dish was the wontons in peanut butter sauce; the taste was very average, but the wontons were good. Without this particular sauce, they would have tasted even better. Perhaps during my next visit, I will opt for the sesame sauce.

Lastly, we tried the spring rolls (3 pieces) along with the cool cucumber salad topped with sesame seeds and a light dressing.
The cucumber salad was light, crisp, and refreshing, and I really enjoyed the added sesame seeds. They brought a subtle nutty flavour that complemented the cucumber nicely without overpowering it.
The spring rolls were good, but honestly, they weren’t my favourite dish of the meal. They had a nice crunch, and the dipping sauce served on the side was a great bonus because it added some extra flavour to each bite. -My rating: 7/10.

I really enjoyed my visit to Fuchun, Canada. The restaurant is in a prime downtown Montreal location, just steps from Guy-Concordia Metro and close to plenty of shops, businesses, and other amenities.
The décor is vibrant, colourful, and inviting, creating a fun atmosphere while still maintaining a homely feel. Although the space is cozy, there is seating available for both small and larger groups, making it a convenient spot for different types of dining occasions.
Fuchun also offers a selection of sake and Jinro soju drinks, which is a nice addition if you’re looking to enjoy a drink alongside your meal.
Now for my favourite part—the food! My favourite dishes were the classic pork soup dumplings, sweet corn, and scallion oil noodles. Each dish had its own unique flavour, and I really enjoyed all three. If you’re visiting Fuchun, Canada, for the first time, these are definitely the dishes I would recommend trying.
The staff were also extremely friendly and welcoming, which made our visit even more enjoyable. Good food is important, but friendly service can really make a dining experience that much better.
Overall, Fuchun Canada is a great place to visit if you’re craving soup dumplings, noodles, and affordable Chinese comfort food in downtown Montreal.
