I recently had the pleasure of visiting Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in Schaumburg, and I absolutely loved my experience! This was my first visit to this location, and let me tell you—I have a lot to share with you! From the elegant atmosphere and beautiful décor to the impressive menu and incredible food, Perry’s Steakhouse truly delivers a memorable fine-dining experience.
With a 4.5-star Google rating, Perry’s Steakhouse has become a popular choice for diners looking to enjoy a sophisticated meal in the Chicago area. From their signature steaks and famous pork chops to seafood, appetizers, and decadent desserts, the menu offers plenty of options for a special night out.
During my visit, I had the opportunity to sample several dishes, including their delicious salmon and glazed pork chops, and I was excited to experience what Perry’s had to offer from start to finish. I’ll be breaking down my entire visit and sharing my honest thoughts on each dish, along with my experience with the service, atmosphere, and overall dining experience.

The Décor & Dining Experience
I have to start off with the décor and overall experience because they really set the tone for your visit to Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille. The restaurant has a beautifully dimmed and intimate atmosphere, creating a relaxed and sophisticated setting that’s perfect for enjoying a nice dinner.
From the moment we arrived, the servers and staff were very friendly and welcoming. They greeted us and guided us to our table, which made us feel comfortable right from the start. The elegant décor, dim lighting, friendly staff, and lively atmosphere created a fantastic first impression. Before we even got to the food, I already knew this was going to be a memorable dining experience.

The Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille menu offers a wide variety of options, including appetizers, entrées, sides, drinks, and desserts. What really stood out to me was how unique and diverse the menu was. There were plenty of dishes that caught my attention, and I was excited to try a few different options during our visit.
For our starters, we decided to try the Perry’s Famous Pork Chop Bites and the Prime NY Strip Carpaccio. Both appetizers were delicious, but each one offered a completely different flavour experience.
🍖 Perry’s Famous Pork Chop Bites
The Perry’s Famous Pork Chop Bites were definitely a great way to start the meal. The bites were sweet and savoury, with a delicious sticky sauce that coated each piece perfectly.
The pork chop bites were also cooked perfectly, with a tender texture that made them easy to enjoy. I really loved the combination of the savoury pork with the sweetness of the sauce. Every bite was packed with flavour, and this was definitely an appetizer I would order again!
🥩 Prime NY Strip Carpaccio
Next up was the Prime NY Strip Carpaccio, which was beautifully thinly sliced and incredibly tender. The texture was so smooth that it practically melted in my mouth like butter.
The carpaccio was topped with savoury arugula, which added a fresh, slightly peppery flavour that complemented the beef beautifully. I really enjoyed how the arugula enhanced the overall taste without taking away from the flavour of the steak. I loved both appetizers and thought they were a delicious introduction to the meal.

Dinner was absolutely amazing, and this is where Perry’s Steakhouse really impressed me! For my entrée, I ordered the grilled salmon, which came with lemon dill butter and cauliflower mousse.
I’ve tried dozens of salmon dishes over the years, but I have to say—this was by far one of the best salmon dishes I’ve ever had! The salmon was cooked perfectly and had such a delicious flavour. The lemon-dill butter was the perfect addition, adding a bright, savoury flavour that complemented the salmon beautifully.
The cauliflower mousse was also whipped to perfection. It was smooth, creamy, and paired really well with the salmon. Every element on the plate worked together beautifully, and I genuinely enjoyed every bite.
The Sides 🥦🌽
For our sides, we ordered the Corn Brûlée and Sweet Sriracha Brussels Sprouts. Both were absolutely delicious, but the cornbread pudding definitely stole the show!
The Corn Brûlée was topped with creamy cheese and oven-toasted, creating an incredible combination of creamy and slightly caramelized flavours. It was such a unique side dish, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did.
Let me be the first to say—it's going to take a LOT to top this dish! 😂🌽 It was easily one of the standout items of the entire meal and something I would definitely order again.
The Sweet Sriracha Brussels Sprouts were also delicious, with a nice balance of sweetness and heat that made them a great addition to the meal.

I highly recommend Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille if you’re looking for an upscale dining experience with delicious food, friendly service, and a beautiful atmosphere. I really enjoyed my visit to the Schaumburg location, and several things stood out to me, including the food, décor, ambiance, and welcoming staff.
The restaurant also offers a selection of signature non-alcoholic drinks, delicious appetizers, and an extensive wine list with more than 100 options, giving diners plenty of choices to enjoy alongside their meal.
Perry’s Steakhouse is suitable for both small and larger groups, and group reservations are available, making it a great option for birthdays, celebrations, business dinners, or a special night out with family and friends.
Now, let’s discuss the pricing. Perry’s Steakhouse falls on the higher end of the spectrum, so I suggest budgeting between $150 and $300 for two people, based on your selections. As is common with many upscale steakhouses, the final bill can fluctuate significantly depending on your choices of appetizers, entrées, drinks, and desserts.
Overall, I really enjoyed my first visit to Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in Schaumburg. The combination of great food, elegant décor, friendly service, and the added experience of Bar 79 made for a memorable evening.
